I always say that taking care of one's self -- whether with a manicure, blowout, or leg waxing -- is a sign that you think well of yourself.  That you're worth the effort.  And that those who might find such behavior self-indulgent are more than likely just a wee bit jealous -- of you in general and of your knockout necklace of purple faceted dyed jade, Turkish gold accents, and a purple silk tassel.
