There’s something about women friends.  The older you get, the more you appreciate them.  I’m not talking about acquaintances.  I’m talking about people you’ve known since before you had those vertical wrinkle lines between your eyebrows.  People about whom you know things their husbands and family don’t.  Even though this one’s incessant chattering or that one’s overly dramatic flair may get on your nerves, by this time you’ve forgiven them their foibles and they, yours.  You’ve bonded in such a way that their mere presence on the planet makes you feel more centered – much like this versatile bracelet (can be worn as a necklace, too) of cobalt blue, acid green and baby blue quartz.  (Somehow jewelry does make you feel better, doesn’t it?)
